TEHA Presents Scholarship Check

SALISBURY, MD---TEHA PRESENTS SCHOLARSHIP CHECK. Garth Jones, sanitarian with the Worcester County Environmental Program (left) and Laura Mooney, Tidewater Environmental Health Association (TEHA) president and sanitarian with the Somerset County Health Department, recently presented a $5,356.40 check for Salisbury State University environmental health scholarships to Dr. Elichia A. Venso, S³ÉÈ˶¶Òõenvironmental health program director. Others attending the check presentation were TEHA $1,000 scholarship recipient Amanda Zych, of Poolesville, MD, and Roy S. Perdue, S³ÉÈ˶¶Òõdirector of alumni relations. Proceeds from TEHA’s Wallace Q. French annual golf tournament benefit S³ÉÈ˶¶Òõenvironmental health students. When the scholarship program was established in 1987, TEHA helped create the first undergraduate environmental health major at a university in Maryland.
