Service Learning In Higher Education Symposium" April 28
SALISBURY, MD---The Institute for Service Learning at Salisbury State University hosts a symposium on "Service Learning in Higher Education" on Friday, April 28, in the Montgomery Room in the Commons building on campus.
The Institute for Service Learning funded mini-grants for faculty at SSU, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Wor- Wic Community College. The symposium features the following presentations by mini-grant recipients: "Service Learning in Equador," Dr. Gerry St. Martin, SSU; "Pemberton Park and Plant Taxonomy," Dr. Kimberly Hunter, SSU; "Trace Metals and Aquatic Systems," Dr. Amelia Potter et al, UMES; "Service Learning in Nursing," Mary Kane et al, SSU; and "Service Learning in Physics and Engineering," Dr. Abhijit Nagchaudhuri, UMES.
Poster presentations will be made by S成人抖阴faculty Dr. Jill Caviglia, Dr. Janet Horne, Marie Cavallaro and Dr. Liddell Madden; by UMES faculty Dr. Joseph Arumala, Anna Scovell, Melanie White Davenport, Dr. Ali Eydgahi, Dr. Bernita Sims-Tucker, Dr. Shirley Hymon-Parker, Dr. Maryam Rahimi, Brante Dashiell, Mignon Anderson, Sheila McD. Harleston, Dr. Nina Jenkins and Dr. Clement Okafor; and Wor-Wic faculty David Striegel.
