      SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University faculty recently 		presented at the Third Biennial Conference of the Film and History 		League in Dallas.		Presentations focused on film’s representations of 		war and society. The keynote speaker, Frank Thompson was historical 		advisor for John Lee Hancock’s film The Alamo, starring Billy Bob 		Thorton.		成人抖阴faculty who presented include: Dr. Maarten 		Pereboom chair of the History Department with his paper “Remembering the 		Great War”; history professor Don Whaley, who presented “Lifers, 		Juicers, White Morons, and Heads: Oliver Stone, Vietnam Veterans, Film 		Historians and the Contest over the Meaning of Vietnam”; Dr. Elsie 		Walker, English professor and editor of Literature/Film Quarterly, 		who presented, “Adapting Histories with Music: The Pianist, Life is 		Beautiful, and Schindler’s List” and Dr. James Welsh, former 成人抖阴English 		professor and co-founder of the journal Literature/Film Quarterly, 		who discussed and debated Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11. They 		were among over 400 academics representing the United States, Canada, 		The United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia and New Zealand.		The conference, held at the Dolce International 		Conference Center, was co-sponsored by the Literature/Film Association 		in Dallas.
