Edwards Nursing Scholarship Recipient Announced"  

SALISBURY, MD---Stephanie Howard of Crisfield has been selected as this year’s recipient of the Virginia Mills Edwards Nursing Scholarship for the 2001-2002 academic year at Salisbury State University.

Howard, daughter of Terry and Leonard Howard, is a senior in the nursing program at S³ÉÈ˶¶Òõthis upcoming academic year.

“Stephanie was chosen based on the belief that she possesses the exceptional qualifications, aptitude and potential for an outstanding career in nursing,” said Mary DiBartolo, S³ÉÈ˶¶ÒõNursing Department scholarship coordinator.

The Virginia Mills Edwards Nursing Scholarship is awarded to a nursing major who exhibits a desire to become a registered nurse. Priority is given to Dorchester County residents but applicants from the lower shore are considered. Recipients receive up to $1,000 for the academic year.
