Byrnes E.S. Regional Safe Communities Director 

SALISBURY, MD--F. Christian (Chris) Byrnes was recently hired as the Eastern Shore Regional Safe Communities director. The Safe Communities Center, located on the campus of Salisbury State University, is a grant funded partnership between S³ÉÈ˶¶Òõand the Maryland Highway Safety Office. The center’s purpose is to provide traffic safety programs and research materials to educational professional, community leaders and the general public.

Byrnes is a 1996 graduate of George Mason University, with a Bachelor of Science in public administration. Since starting, Byrnes has been trained both as instructor and a child passenger safety seat technician by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
