Business in Asia Subject of October 31 Lecture 

SALISBURY, MD---Export Sales Manager for Perdue Farms, Inc., Mitchell Boswell shares his international business expertise at 7 p.m. Wednesday, October 31, in the Wicomico Room at the Guerrieri University Center at Salisbury University.  His lecture “Business in Asia” targets Asian markets where Boswell focused most of his 17-year career in protein sales.

Before coming to Perdue, Boswell began his career as marketing coordinator at Pierce Foods in his hometown of Moorefield, WV. There he ascended to division manager for developing markets where he was responsible for introducing Pierce brand products into export markets. The last two years, Boswell has held the northeast division sales manager position and more recently, the title of international sales manager while representing the North American Bison Cooperative.  Transferring to Perdue in September of 2000, Boswell continues to focus on Asian markets including Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan and Guam where he has concentrated his efforts throughout his international sales career.

Boswell served as Naval Aviator after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy; he is currently a captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
