Four Faculty Members Named to "Who's Who Among America's Teachers 1998
SALISBURY, MD--Salisbury State University faculty members, Marie Cavallaro, Dr. Augustine DiGiovanna, George Gering, Dr. Joel T. Jenne and Dr. Edwin Min Wong, were recently named to "Who芒s Who Among America芒s Teachers, 1998." The group, honored by their toughest critics--their former students--were among some 130,000 teachers recognized by those former students who themselves are currently listed in "Who芒s Who Among American High School Students" or "The National Dean芒s List."
Cavallaro, an associate professor of art in the Charles R. And Martha N. Fulton School of Liberal Arts, has been at S成人抖阴since 1973. Cavallaro was instrumental in establishing the Student Art Scholarship Fund at SSU.
A faculty member since 1972, DiGiovanna is a professor of biological sciences in the Richard A. Henson School of Science and Technology. DiGiovanna芒s expertise is in biology of humans and aging.
Specializing in military and U.S. history, Gering has been a member of the Department of History in the Fulton School since 1988.
Jenne, an assistant professor of education in the Samuel W. and Marilyn C. Seidel School of Education and Professional Studies, joined the S成人抖阴staff in 1995. He specializes in curriculum, evaluation and instructing social studies.
A member of the Department of Biological Sciences in the Henson School since 1994, Wong芒s academic specialty is in molecular biology.
