Spring 2026 Theatre Auditions

The Bobbi Biron Theatre Program invites all students to audition for its upcoming productions on Thursday 10/23 from 6-11 p.m. in the Fulton Hall Black Box Theatre! Auditions are for the Spring 2026 musical Into the Woods and the play The Curious Case of the Watson Intellegence .

Callback date & time: CCWI 10/24 @ 7-11 p.m. and ITW 10/25 @ 12-5 p.m.

AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS—YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A THEATRE MAJOR!

IF YOU ARE CAST IN INTO THE WOODS, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COME BACK THE WEEK BEFORE CLASSES START FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER FOR A MUSIC INTENSIVE.

NOTE TO THEATRE MAJORS: All current 成人抖阴Theatre Majors in the Performance Track are required to audition. Please indicate on your audition form if you cannot commit to being cast.

Audition Requirements

Audition: Thursday October 23, 2025 from 6 - 11 p.m.

Audition requirements:

  • If you are auditioning for the musical, both shows, or are a theatre major please prepare 16 bars of a song from a musical post 1955 and a monologue 2 minutes or less from after 2005.
  • If you are only interested in being considered for the play and you are not a theatre major, you may only prepare a monologue 2 minutes or less from after 2005.

Show Descriptions

  • Into the Woods - In this classic Tony award winning musical with music and by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine, familiar characters from Grimm fairytales are thrown together in a world of magic, mysteries, desires and consequences. This dark comedy with some of Sondheim’s most memorable songs asks, what are the consequences of the actions taken to fulfill a wish?
  • The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence - In this 2014 Pulitzer Prize Finalist play written by Madeleine George, three actors play multiple characters during moments in time where technology shifted how connections are made. From the first phone call to artificial intelligence, this heartfelt comedy looks at what we’ve gained and lost with each technological advancement.

Intimacy Requirements:

Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence :

  • Eliza and Watson- These two characters will have moments of touch and kiss.

Into the Woods:

  • Baker’s Wife and Cinderella’s Prince- These two characters have a kiss and touch.
  • Baker and Baker’s Wife- These two characters have touch and a possible kiss.
  • Cinderella and Cinderella’s Prince- These two characters have touch.

All characters at some point will be in proximity with one another and be touching even if not under intimate circumstances.

All intimacy will be carefully choreographed in the rehearsal room with an intimacy coordinator, ensuring the physical, psychological, and emotional safety of those involved. Best practices regarding consent will be a part of the production process.

Schedule:

Rehearsals typically run Sundays through Fridays, 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. All students must attend Music Intensive- January 19-23.

Into the Woods:
  • Rehearsals - Sunday through Friday from 7:00-11:00 p.m., beginning Tuesday, January 20
  • Tech - March 3-6 (7-11 p.m.), March 7-8 (9:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
  • Dress - March 10-11 (7-11 p.m.)

*TECH AND DRESS REHEARSALS CANNOT BE MISSED*

  • Performances - March 12-14th
  • Strike - Immediately following the final performance
Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence:
  • Rehearsals - Sunday through Friday from 7:00-11:00 p.m., beginning Monday, March 23
  • Tech - April 28-May 1 (7-11 p.m.), May 2-3 (9:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.)
  • Dress - May 5-6 (7-11 p.m.)

  • Strike - Immediately following the final performance
